My point is this: there will always be more than one way to do things when you’re programming, and you may not always agree with the decisions your team has made, or the component library or framework you’re using has made. However, if you poke around a little and play within those confines, you may find that those decisions make other decisions easier, or disappear altogether.

Voters in California’s tenth largest city will have an opportunity to ban red light cameras in November. On Tuesday, the Anaheim City Council unanimously endorsed the idea of placing a charter amendment on the ballot that, if approved by the public, would ensure that automated ticketing machines never appear on city streets. Mayor Curt Pringle, a former speaker of the California State Assembly, offered the measure even though his city has never used cameras.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (April 5, 2010) – The second Anaheim/OC Job Fair and Expo will take place on June 2, and both employers and job seekers are invited to participate in this free event. The 2010 Anaheim/OC Job Fair and Expo, a partnership event led by the City of Anaheim, the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce and The Shops at Anaheim GardenWalk, will be held at GardenWalk (321 W. Katella Ave.) from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The retail stores and restaurants will be open their regular business hours.

More than 125 employers are anticipated to be represented at the Job Fair and Expo, and career and life-skills leaders will conduct workshops throughout the day. Job seekers can also take advantage of a resume review and a computer station for applying for jobs online.

Job growth remains a priority in Anaheim, and we remain committed to offering opportunities for our residents to seek and connect with potential employers,” said City of Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle. “Our goal is to support the job market, and the 2010 Anaheim/OC Job Fair and Expo is one way we can help so everyone benefits.

Mayor Pringle has again asked Harry Sidhu, Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Anaheim, to take the lead in this job fair initiative. Last year, in its inaugural year, the Job Fair and Expo featured more than 100 employers, approximately 2,200 available jobs, and drew a crowd of 7,500. One in four job applicants were interviewed as a result of the 2009 event, with more than a third being hired.
